Who We Are: SelfEmployedandEntrepreneurs.org (SEEG) is the preeminent self employment and entrepreneurial networking organization in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex for individuals interested in becoming and staying their own boss. We are associated with CareerConnection.org, the oldest and most successful job networking and career management organization in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. Our group was formerly known as the CCContract Group, for independent contractors. We have expanded our mission to focus on the needs of the self-employed.
SelfEmployedandEntrepreneurs.org (SEEG)'s mission is to give a networking and information exchange platform for individuals interested in "hiring themselves" and to share practical suggestions on the "what," "how," "when," and "how much" it takes to go into and stay in business for yourself. You must supply your own "reason why" for yourself. Our members include SELF-employed, JOB-employed and unemployed individuals from all walks of life who share the common interest of being their own boss.
Membership Profile SEEG membership includes sole practitioners such as CPAs and independent lecturers, temporary and full-time contractors, such as software developers and information technology professionals, consultants, franchise owners and buyers, independent sales professionals, even home and computer repair handymen. The SEEG group is not for general job-seeking purposes. There are plenty of great networking groups in the DFW metroplex that serve this need.
Meetings SelfEmployedandEntrepreneurs.org (SEEG) meets every non-holiday Monday evening from 6 to 7 pm at the Panera Bread Restaurant at Park Lane & Central, 7839 Park Lane, Dallas, TX 75231. For a map and directions to Panera Bread, click here.

About Finding and Following your own Passion Everyone should have a passion in life, and if it isn't being satisfied by working for someone else, then you should consider making your passion your career. With the ups and downs of the job market, especially among the forty plus crowd, working for someone else gets more difficult and often less personally satisfying with each birthday. The risks of self-employment must be weighed against the cost and anxiety of "employment gaps" of being an "at will" employee. If you are interested in making your passion your career, then you share our common interest.
