SelfEmployedandEntrepreneurs.org (SEEG) Meeting "Rules of Engagement"
|
Networking for job leads is not in keeping with the mission of our group, and can be best addressed
through other groups. Traditional Job-seekers are encouraged to network in other Career
Management Groups sponsored by CareerConnection, or through other DFW organizations.
We develop dialogue and programs for ACTIVE MEMBERS that meet our mission. Questions not
pertaining to the evening agenda are for outside of the 6 to 7 pm meeting time.
To do this in a one hour evening meeting, we must adhere to the schedule beklow:
We stick to the agenda to keep it fun & productive for the benefit of our ACTIVE MEMBERS.

SelfEmployedandEntrepreneurs.org (SEEG) SEEG Meeting "networking"
|
We encourage visitors to read about our group, and to come early to meetings with business cards that
indicate the nature of their business or services offered, and your current contact information.
A maximum of ten minutes are allotted at the beginning of each meeting to business card exchange and
"Meet and Greet" networking, as well as after each meeting is adjourned.
The nature of networking for self-employed and entrepreneurs is different than that of job networking, but
some basics are the same. Come prepared to first, to listen, next, to tell what you can do to help that
person, and ONLY THEN tell them what your service or business can do for them.
SelfEmployedandEntrepreneurs.org (SEEG)'s mission is to give a networking and information exchange platform for individuals interested in "hiring themselves" and to share practical suggestions on the "what," "how," "when," and "how much" it takes to go into and stay in business for yourself. You must supply your own "reason why" for yourself. Our members include SELF-employed, JOB-employed and unemployed individuals from all walks of life who share the common interest of being their own boss.
